Nisha Phongpetra and Prim Pattaropong

Co-founder, Good Roots

Industry : Lifestyle

Good Roots began with a shared conviction: eating well should fit naturally into everyday life. Co-founders Prim Pattaropong and Nisha Phongpetra brought that idea to life in 2023, combining complementary backgrounds to create a casual dining concept for people who want nutritious food without treating it as a compromise.

Prim contributes experience in food and beverage, while Nisha brings a creative perspective shaped by photography and branding. Together, they have built Good Roots around fresh, nutrient-rich meals and locally sourced ingredients, working closely with farmers and suppliers while placing particular emphasis on quality, transparency and sustainability.

The response suggests their proposition has found its moment. From one restaurant in Sathorn, Good Roots has expanded to multiple locations across Bangkok in just a few years, attracting a community interested in health but unwilling to surrender flavour or enjoyment along the way.

For Prim and Nisha, however, growth in outlets is only one measure of progress. Their larger ambition is to make balanced eating feel less like a specialist pursuit and more like an ordinary part of city life. In doing so, Good Roots connects personal wellbeing with responsible sourcing and support for local producers – proof that small everyday choices can reach considerably further than the plate.
