CEO, HLM Corporate (Zerra Group)

Premjit “Wu” Nualchawee approaches sustainability with an engineer’s instinct for practical solutions. Having seen first-hand the scale of the waste created by single-use packaging, she set out to find alternatives that could work beyond experiments and small-scale interventions.
Today, as CEO of HLM Corporate, also known as Zerra Group, Wu leads a business developing sustainable packaging and environmental solutions for the food and beverage industry in Thailand, Singapore and the United States. Its work brings together manufacturers, researchers and universities internationally to identify materials and technologies capable of reducing environmental impact.
The range is deliberately broad: biodegradable and compostable food packaging, bio-based materials, tree-free paper products and even technology that generates drinking water from air. Together, they offer businesses practical options as they work towards net-zero targets.
Wu’s approach also connects environmental progress with local economic value. HLM collaborates with farming communities, researchers and industry partners to turn agricultural waste into higher-value materials, creating additional income opportunities while addressing open burning and the air pollution it contributes to.
It is this combination that gives her work particular relevance: global innovation applied to local resources, with environmental and economic outcomes considered together. For Wu, sustainability is not simply about using less. It is about engineering better possibilities from what already exists.
