Naruphan Promviset sees Klongtom’s mineral spring as more than a natural asset. As co-founder of Klongtom Heritage in Krabi, he is building a wellness development that brings together the Klongtom Salt Hot Spring, healthcare and hospitality, with rehabilitation at its core.

Drawing on experience in real estate development, water management and hospitality, Naruphan recognised the potential to connect the spring with modern healthcare practices. Klongtom Heritage is described as Thailand’s first project to integrate its salt hot spring with modern medical treatment. Physiotherapists, rehabilitation doctors and other specialists are involved in developing recovery programmes, alongside holistic treatments and wellness services for Thai and international visitors.

The ambition, however, extends beyond the individual guest. Naruphan and his team are approaching the development as part of Klongtom’s wider ecosystem, linking wellness tourism with local economic opportunity, environmental conservation and careful management of the natural resource on which the project depends.

Clean energy, waste management and other sustainable practices are consequently built into the plan rather than treated as peripheral additions. For Naruphan, the opportunity lies in demonstrating how development can create several forms of value at once: supporting recovery and wellbeing while strengthening the surrounding community and safeguarding an asset closely connected to Krabi itself.
