For one weekend this August, Shanghai Mansion Bangkok will swap its usual role as boutique hotel for a cinema, as Skyline Film Bangkok brings six classic films to Cotton Ballroom on the sixth floor.
Set against interiors inspired by 1930s Shanghai, the programme pairs well known titles with one of Bangkok’s most atmospheric venues. Guests watch each screening on a large screen using wireless headphones, creating a more personal viewing experience while keeping outside noise to a minimum. Every ticket also includes one complimentary drink.
Friday 7 August
Saturday 8 August
Sunday 9 August
Each screening costs THB 450. There are no reserved seats, so the early birds get first pick. With MRT Wat Mangkon only a few minutes away, it’s perfect excuse to turn movie night into evening in Yaowarat. After all, some films deserve more than four plain walls and bucket of popcorn.
