RECO Collective 2026 Gives Plastic Bottles a Second Life in Fashion

RECO Collective 2026 Gives Plastic Bottles a Second Life in Fashion

RECO Collective 2026 took place on 21 October, bringing together three Thai fashion labels, CHANA, KH EDITIONS and APPEAL Summerwear, to showcase collections made from recycled PET bottles using Deja™ yarns by Indorama Ventures.

Have you ever wondered what happened with the plastic bottles you finished? Well, most of them get discarded ending up in landfills, some get recycled, only a few get a second life, but that’s about to change. All thanks to RECO Collective 2026, your used bottles now walk the runways.

Forces For the Future of Sustainable Fashion

Aiming to raise awareness about the value of recycled materials and promoting long-term sustainability, Indorama Ventures joins forces with Bulliontex, EPSON, ECOTOPIA and NEXTOPIA in RECO Collective 2026 under the theme “THE NEXT ORIGINAL”. The event explores the idea that post-consumer plastics can take on a new identity through original designs and recycled materials.

From Plastic to Fabric Designs

This year, consumer-relevant design takes center stage as three fashion brands – CHANA, KH EDITIONS and APPEAL Summerwear – bring their creative visions to life using fabrics made from Deja™ yarns, yarns produced by Indorama Ventures from post-consumer PET bottles and materials. Their collections focus on creating designs that consumers genuinely want to wear, use, and buy. With three houses as creators, three visions form silhouettes that make recycled fabric functional and fashionable.

CHANA

By Chanajit Noodech

Bringing the sights of Saudi Arabia to the streets of Bangkok, CHANA’s “THE MIRAGED SYMMETRY” collection explores the contrasting shapes of the desert dunes and the contemporary architecture of Maraya Concert Hall through the dune-like waves and clean-cut silhouettes on the recycled fabric.

KH EDITIONS

By Napat Tansuwan and Panisara Maneerat

Taking us for a ride is KH EDITIONS with the concept of “HIGHWAY LEGACY”. The clothes feature designs resembling Thai trucks (SipLor), representing Thai legacy and expressing the bold spirit that dares to break conventions.

APPEAL Summerwear

By Thanawan Chanttasahawat and Kansiri Chanttasahawat

Looking beyond the ocean, APPEAL Summerwear presents their “BEYOND THE BLUE” collection on the runway. Inspired by the rolling waves, the collection brings the peacefulness of the sea to the city through their pieces of summerwear.

Off the Runway to Retail

In partnership with ECOTOPIA and NEXTOPIA, the collections are available at ECOTOPIA’s retail space, bringing environmentally conscious fashion closer to consumers through designs made for everyday wear. Now your recycled PET bottles won’t just walk the runway – they’ll become wearable fashion, giving new life to materials that might otherwise go to waste.
