Thai celebrities are making waves at the Cannes Film Festival 2026 with standout red carpet fashion and luxury designer looks.

The 79th annual Cannes Film Festival is officially underway from 12 to 23 May 2026, with acclaimed South Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook serving as jury president for the main competition.

As the world’s biggest names in cinema, fashion and culture gather on the French Riviera, Thai celebrities are proving they belong firmly in the spotlight too. And they are treating the Cannes red carpet exactly how it should be treated: like a runway.

Thailand’s film scene is also making its mark at the festival this year, with Kao Wat Su Sawan (9 Temples to Heaven) by Sompot Chidgasornpongse selected for Directors’ Fortnight, and What Do You Seek in the Dark? by Tossaphon Riantong featured in Critics’ Week.
