From swan boats to city politics, join Bangkok Active Festival 2026 at Lumphini Park from 19-21 June. Come for the weekend vibes, but leave with a blueprint for a better city.

If the citizens don’t shape Bangkok, who will? From 19-21 June, the Bangkok Active Festival 2026 is taking over Lumphini Park to put the future of the city back in the hands of the people. Hosted by Thai PBS and its partner networks, this event strips away the usual boring urban planning lectures and replaces them with real, face-to-face dialogue about our urban rights as residents.

There is plenty to dive into, from trading ideas with passionate young people at the Policy Market to leaving your dream-city wishlist on the Tree of Hope. You can stroll through 50 years of urban history along the Bangkok Timeline, gamify local politics with interactive data on what your district councillors actually accomplished or head to Lab 350 for a reality check on what it really takes to survive in this city on a 350-baht minimum wage.

You can keep the energy high by joining the national Live Aerobic stream this Saturday at 5pm, or wind down with community storytelling at the Coffee Truck and cosy reads at the Some Lee Book Club. Round out your day by tasting eco-friendly treats at the Green Market and fixing sidewalk issues firsthand via the Bangkok Boardgame zone.

The absolute must-do experience of the weekend, though, is the Swan Pedalo Chat. Slots are open every morning and evening from Friday to Sunday, giving you 20 minutes to pedal around with a stranger and talk city politics, with all your brilliant ideas being saved for the next Bangkok governor.

The Bangkok Active Festival 2026 takes place from 19-21 June at the Lumphini Park Public Library. Admission is completely free. For more information and event updates, visit the Active Facebook page.
