Titled Aqua Playground, the installation has taken over the space of Lost in Songwat, which turns the café area into a playful open-air art experience.
Pipatchara “Petch” Kaeojinda, founder of Pipatchara and our 2025 Future Lister, continues her idea of transforming discarded fishing nets from the ocean into art installations. The large-scale installation first debuted during her collaboration with Sansiri at the Thailand Biennale Phuket 2025. After the project in Phuket, Petch was inspired to continue the concept through a modular hopping journey, bringing the installation to different locations around the city. This stop in Bangkok marks one of those new chapters that allows both locals and visitors to experience her sustainability-driven design up close.

The pieces follow Pipatchara’s signature “Infinitude” design concept, seen across her fashion creations from bags to clothing and now translated into installation. Modular in design, the installation can adapt to different spaces, appearing as sculptural tables, seating, or larger statement pieces that can be assembled, rearranged and taken apart.
For this location, Pipatchara also collaborated with Thai tea brand Karun Thai Tea. Visitors can explore the installation while enjoying drinks and even the used cups from Karun will later be recycled and transformed into future Pipatchara fashion pieces to complete the circular design process.

Choosing Song Wat feels like a natural fit. The street has gained recognition from both local and international audiences, with many of its shops known for strong identities in craftsmanship, sustainability and design. With this creative energy, Pipatchara’s Aqua Playground blends into the neighbourhood’s cultural scene.
