Irish singer-songwriter Damien Rice is finally coming back to Thailand for another exceptional performance at Union Hall on June 6, 2023.
Back in 2016, his show was sold out meaning Thai fans have been eagerly anticipating his return. The talented instrumentalist gained recognition and received critical acclaim for his 2002 album, O, which features one of all-time favourites, “The Blower’s Daughter”. The song reached number 8 on the UK Album Charts and was also featured in the film Closer. Since then, Damien has been nicknamed “The Godfather of Sad Songs”. He later released his second album, 9, in 2006.
After eight years of various collaborations, Damien released his third studio album, My Favourite Faded Fantasy, in 2014. He has also contributed music to charitable projects such as Songs for Tibet, the Enough Project, and the Freedom Campaign.
His music has been deemed a place of spiritual refuge for those seeking to heal through music.
Damien Rice Live in Bangkok 2023 will take place at Union Hall on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. Tickets go on presale on March 9 and public sale on March 10, 10am onwards via ticketmelon.com.
