Koktail celebrates the sixth edition of The Future List with 100 Future Listers at Woof Pack on 16 September, bringing together Thailand’s creative, business, food, cultural, science and public service communities for an evening of conversations, connections and ideas for the future.

On 16 September, Koktail welcomed the 100 Future Listers of 2026 to Woof Pack for an evening of conversations, connections, good food and plenty of familiar faces. Past Future Listers, guests and members of Thailand’s creative, business, food and cultural communities joined the latest honourees to mark the sixth edition of The Future List.

The night was a chance to put faces to the names, share ideas and raise a glass to the people who continue to push Thailand forward in their own way. Here’s to the 100 Future Listers of 2026 and the different ideas, actions and communities behind this year’s list.

Empowering All

For this sixth edition, Koktail moves forward with Empowering All, a theme built around a simple idea: change doesn’t always come from the biggest companies or the most well-known people. Sometimes it starts with one person, one idea or one community.

Across seven categories including advocacy, business, food, lifestyle, public service, science and the arts, this year’s list brings together 100 people from different sectors, backgrounds and generations. Their work takes many forms, from major business ideas and creative projects to community action, advocacy and new approaches to food and culture.

A Room Full of Ideas

The evening gave Future Listers and guests plenty of time to meet, reconnect and exchange ideas. With bites from restaurants, wine, beer and a cheeseboard on offer, the atmosphere was relaxed and intimate, with good food and good company at the heart of the night.

Sarunrat Ardpruksa, Koktail’s assistant editor, welcomed guests and congratulated this year’s Future Listers, recognising their work and contributions to their communities and society.

“Hearing about so many cool people with cool ideas, doing their utmost to drive our society forward, makes me proud to present the 2026 Future List 100. Working on this annual project has become a meaningful habit, helping to recognise ordinary people doing extraordinary things. There is a real sense of satisfaction in seeing people we recognise each year, continuing to create good things, to grow and shine in their own special way. Now in our sixth year we see the future taking shape, and it is our nominees that are driving this change.”

“For 2026, we present a new generation of people questioning familiar ideas, creating new possibilities and showing that Thailand can contribute to the world in a positive way.” 

A Future List in 3D

The 2026 edition also marks a new chapter for Koktail and The Future List. The annual digital publication is now the first of its kind in a three-dimensional digital format, with more than 300 pages that offer a different way to explore the people, stories and ideas behind the list.

Sarunrat shared a few words on this new direction:

“This year also marks a world first for Koktail, as the annual Future List digital publication is the first of its kind in a three dimensional digital format, with over 300 pages and a fun and simple way to navigate every page. It feels fitting that a list about the future should also take a step into new territory where smart glasses and other gadgets may replace the mobile phone as a way to consume information. This is our way of looking to the future along with those we profile.”

Nigel Oakins, Founder and Chairman of MediaMagination and publisher of Koktail Magazine, Koktail’s Restaurant Guide and Time Out Thailand, also spoke about the significance of the new format:

“Not so many times do we get to be in the room for a world first. It is so impossible that no one can believe that we’re going to do this. So you can focus this magazine on any imaginary screen and read it like normal. This was done by a guy in the Philippines, Chris Hemmings, who can’t be here today. He has been working on this for six months, and we are his first prototype client.”

A Night to Mark the Sixth Edition

Sarunrat also reflected on the people featured in this year’s Future List: 

“Behind every name in these pages is a different story, a cherished ambition and an alternative idea of what might come next. People taking Thai creativity beyond the country’s borders. Others are rethinking local traditions, developing new businesses or finding innovative ways to position Thailand as a leader when it comes to doing good for all people.”

“What they share is curiosity, courage and a willingness to move things forward. Here at Koktail it is our privilege to help give them the recognition they deserve.”

Jay Spencer, co-founder of Woof Pack, closed the night with a welcome to the Future List community:

“Welcome to Woof Pack. We’re very happy to be a platform for the Future List 2026, and I think that the work that’s been done here is important. We all need inspiration, we all need purpose, we all need the right conditions. And hopefully, more help like this would go a long way. Woof Pack would always like to help, and thank you very much for coming here and braving the rain. Thank you very much.”

The evening had a cosy, easy-going feel, with food and drinks curated by Extrovert Consulting, alongside GranMonte Vineyard and Winery, Greenery, Group B, Devanom, La Fontana, VIVIN, Tapori and Pizza Massilia.

Samantha Proyrungtong, Director of Extrovert Marketing Consulting, also shared a few words during the evening: 

“I’m happy to be here. More than anything, I’m honoured to bring to you your vendors today. But actually, I want to talk to you about something a little bit more serious. So, the F&B industry right now, I tell you, we are suffering. So what I’m asking from all of you, please, don’t forget your new restaurants, your old restaurants.” 

Music came from Neo Baannok, with Zeedox on the decks throughout the night.
