Second-generation family business leaders Panitan “Benz”, Paniti “Boat” and Pavitra “Plane” Kobkulsuwan have made hospitality their own territory. Through Thaisakol Estate Co., Ltd., the siblings have developed a portfolio shaped by close observation of how people want to dine, stay and spend their time.
Their ventures began before the concept for which they are now best known. K Maison Boutique Hotel, Kay’s and Day by Kay’s established an approach centred on customer experience and attention to detail, extending from architecture and interiors to service and operations.
Then came KANORI Hand Roll Bar. Inspired by a format the siblings encountered overseas, they introduced what the company describes as Thailand’s first hand roll bar: an omakase-style experience combining premium imported ingredients and counter seating with more accessible pricing. The concept brought elements of high-end Japanese dining into a more everyday setting and helped familiarise Thai diners with the hand-roll format.
Their latest venture, KAYAKI, continues the habit of examining small details with practical consequences, including features designed to minimise grilling smoke and lingering odours. Across a hotel, cafés and increasingly specialised dining concepts, Benz, Boat and Plane have built less around a single formula than a shared hospitality instinct: notice what could work better for the customer, then design the experience around it.
