As a Thai-American qualified lawyer who speaks five languages–Thai, English, French, Mandarin and Spanish–Monrawee has recently been concentrating on critical laws and policy issues at the intersection of business, technology, and human rights. She acts as Twitter’s primary ambassador to government policymakers, regulators, and civil society groups on public policy issues. Helping to showcase the use of Twitter for civic purposes, and provide guidance, resources, and to support Twitter’s corporate philanthropy missions in such areas as freedom of expression, internet safety, and crisis response. She is passionate about social impact, technology, innovation, human rights, labour relations, environmental justice, law reform, and breaking employment barriers for women and minorities. Her desire to strengthen communities led her to launch Twitter #ThereIsHelp notification service that provides timely support on such issues as mental health and suicide prevention, vaccination, child sexual exploitation, COVID-19, gender-based violence, disaster response, LGBTQI and HIV. As a result, she was recognised by APCOM as a HERO Award 2021 honoree for Community Ally. To relax, she hits the gym for sessions in Thai boxing, spinning or pilates.
