Kittiporn "Tangmo" Rodvanich

Freelance actor and comedian

Industry :

The Arts

Social :

Tangmo is a Thai actress who has been able to break into the US entertainment industry, doing stand-up comedy and even a stint on "NCIS Los Angeles". She is most proud of being the first Master of Fine Arts acting student from Thailand at University of California San Diego, the only overseas student in a class of eight, and on a full ride scholarship at that. Before reaching this stage, she did everything from being a wedding organiser, making props, waiting tables and working as a kitchen helper. The last few years have been an emotional roller coaster for her, with her divorce, the challenges of breaking into the LA entertainment industry, and her father’s illness and subsequent passing. But to her credit, she cried her heart out, then turned her love and heartache into a stand-up comedy sketch based on her father. She is proud that she is able to make people laugh and inspire them to be proud of themselves and be mentally strong. She is inspired by Eugene O’Neill’s plays that touch on the deep tragedy of human life, and hopes one day to see new blood in Thai politics, equality in marriage and freedom of speech.
