Mario Ferro started out working at Husk Power Systems testing a mobile payment system for rural Bihar, India. Today he is the CEO and Co-founder of Wedu, an award-winning social enterprise that invests in women across Southeast Asia by providing mentorship and leadership training combined with innovative financing options to complete higher education. He has also previously worked in impact investing and social entrepreneurship at Acumen and in management consulting with PwC. Ferro believes that finding ways to connect more young people to meaningful careers and nurturing their talents is the means by which we can overcome the shared global challenges that humanity is facing. He holds a master’s degree in economics and management from University of La Sapienza and an MSc from the London School of Economics, and is also an alumnus of the SEP at Stanford GSB.
