Yossapon Boonsom is a Thai landscape architect and the director at Shma Company Ltd. with a vision to contribute to societal and environmental improvement through the implementation of green infrastructures, fostering a sustainable and inclusive future for communities. On a broader scale of the public agenda, Yossapon is also the co-founder of Friends of the River (FOR), established as a non-profit organization with the aim of being a creative force that stimulates social awareness and participation in the creative development. of the Chaophraya River. The principle is to encourage a sustainable relationship between the city, community, and the river through a public participation process. Additionally, Yossapon is the co-founder of the we!park group, which develops vacant lots and spaces into green public spaces using participatory methods. we!park collaborates with partners such as the Thai Association of Landscape Architects, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, and Community Act Network. Lastly, Yossapon serves as the editor-in-chief of we!park platform, a media outlet covering urban design, public space, environment, and well-being.
