Paricha Duangtaweesub teaches design innovation for social justice and sustainability at CSII (Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation), a field he also practices as a business development officer at Forth EMS, a Thai company providing end-to-end electronics manufacturing services, whose operations he is helping to transform to meet global sustainability standards. Paricha has also served as an independent innovation consultant for various organisations including the Thailand Institute of Justice, Stanford University, Harvard Business School, and the UNDP on applying design principles to tackle social issues. Paricha recognises that effective collaboration within teams and between stakeholders is essential to achieving impactful outcomes at scale. He shares this value through one of his initiatives, Design for Thailand, a student club aimed at creating social change through design. Through partners in the social and non-profit sector, his students are currently working to promote alternative tourism in Northern Thailand, to reduce recidivism rates through skills development programmes, and to map stakeholder relationships in waste management in Bangkok, amongst others. A valuable piece of advice that Paricha has received: If you are not getting an answer that makes sense, you’re probably asking the wrong question.
