With a background in environmental engineering, Armelle founded Green Building Consulting and Engineering (GBCE) in 2014. Aware of the environmental degradation caused by the growing construction industry and the challenges in disrupting conventional construction practices, she established her own practice as a one-person venture. This now award-winning company helps clients achieve sustainability through business strategy, design, and operations of building assets, ensuring compliance with international certification standards. Armelle serves as its sustainability and green building expert, sharing her expertise with governmental, international, and national institutions to accelerate the decarbonization of the industry and achieve net-zero targets for the built environment. Currently, she is working on a large-scale project in Mongolia involving the development of 10,000 residential units. The project aims to transform highly climate-vulnerable and heavily polluting areas of Ulaanbaatar into low-carbon, climate-resilient, and affordable Eco-Districts. Additionally, Armelle serves as the sustainability consultant for a major infrastructure project in U-Tapao Airport City. She actively advocates for policy reform, participating in events like the Climate Regional Roundtables APAC on Sustainable Buildings organised in preparation for the yearly COP.
