Specialty & Global Brands Director, S&P
Industry : Business
Parama “Nam” Raiva is adding new layers to a family enterprise already woven into Thailand’s culinary landscape. As a Specialty & Global Brands Director at S&P, she brings the sensibility of a designer to a group built on restaurants, bakeries and hospitality. Her training in ceramic design at Central Saint Martins informs an approach attentive to concept, presentation and the emotional pull of familiar pleasures.
Rather than treating legacy as something fixed, Nam is developing more focused formats through which S&P can reach contemporary audiences. SNP Cake Studio has strengthened the group’s presence in bespoke cakes, while Nais Table offers Western home-style cooking in a more intimate restaurant setting. Butter, her nostalgia-inspired dessert line, explores the comfort of remembered flavours and the forthcoming SNP Cake Atelier will create a dedicated proposition for wedding and celebration cakes.
Her remit also extends to London, where Nam is repositioning S&P’s Patara Group while recently opening a new Thai restaurant, Platapian.
Together, these projects reveal a thoughtful model of succession. Nam is neither simply preserving the family business nor pursuing novelty for its own sake. Instead, she draws on S&P’s scale and experience while introducing a sharper, design-conscious approach to each concept. She is helping diversify the group’s identity – and demonstrating how the next generation can honour an inheritance by continuing to reshape it.
