Rattikarn “Praew” Umloy, known as Nene Royal, confirms her spot in the America’s Got Talent Judges’ Callbacks round airing this August.

Guess who’s returned to make some noise? None other than 16-year-old guitar-slinging rock star Nene Royal!

Rattikarn “Praew” Umloy – though you probably know her as Nene Royal – popped up on Facebook to drop a casual life update: she’s made it to the America’s Got Talent Judges’ Callbacks. The round starts on 4 August, but save the excitement for her episode on the 11th (that’s Wednesday morning, 12 August for anyone tuning in from Thailand).

Having won hearts across the globe with her soaring cover of The Cranberries’ Zombie and snatching a clean sweep of four ‘yeses’, the self-taught prodigy from Phuket is set to blow away judges Howie Mandel, Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara and Melanie “Mel B” Brown all over again.

New for this series, the Judges’ Callbacks round gives acts one more chance to show off their talent. Because ten lucky contestants get fast-tracked by Golden Buzzers, earning four ‘yeses’ in the auditions just isn’t enough to guarantee a spot in the Live Shows. This extra round lets the judges trim down the roster and decide who really makes the final cut.
