The 2026 FIFA World Cup is just days away, but the excitement is already reaching a fever pitch, largely thanks to Nike’s release of “Rip the Script.”
The short campaign film features a lineup of global icons, including none other than Lalisa “Lisa” Manobal, who is currently breaking the internet with a custom pink dress.
Upcycled entirely from Nike Mercurial Vapor 17 cleats, the dress reimagines athletic gear in a completely unexpected context – using the uppers of the boots to sculpt curvy lines across the skirt and torso.
The Nike Mercurial Vapor 17 weighs a total of just 155 grams, and Lisa’s outfit reflects that approach to lightness. Instead of normal fabric, her pink dress is crafted out of Nike’s breathable Atomknit material.
If you look closely enough, you can actually see the shoe’s intricate patterns mapped onto her silhouette. The viral look was co-created by cult-favourite Thai streetwear label IWANNABANGKOK and Lisa’s long-time stylist, Hathairat “Nan” Permpoon, also known as Nanist and one of our 2025 Future Listers.
While the short film showcases football superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland – alongside legends like Eric Cantona and Ronaldinho, and pop-culture giants like Travis Scott and Kim Kardashian – it is Lisa who truly “rips the script.”
In the video, we catch a quick glimpse of the campaign’s lone K-pop icon being asked to sign autographs, completely stealing the spotlight in her deconstructed sports gear.
