Following the success of Monopoly: Phuket Edition, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) announced that Chiang Mai will be the next city in Thailand to get its very own official Monopoly board game.
The classic board game has launched over 300 versions and thousands of custom editions including Game of Thrones, Friends, Nintendo, Disney, and even National Parks. Set to be released next year, the TAT has partnered with Winning Moves UK to create the Chiang Mai Edition, with the permission of Monopoly owners Hasbro. The board game will feature famous Northern historical landmarks, cultural sites, and well-known businesses and attractions. Unique stories of Chiang Mai can be told and shared by players with customized Chance and Community Chest cards.
The best part of all: You can suggest places that you would like to see featured in the Monopoly: Chiang Mai Edition by emailing ChiangMai@winningmoves.co.uk or through the Chiang Mai Monopoly Facebook page.
Besides the new Monopoly game, Winning Moves UK will also be releasing a Chiang Mai edition of the popular card game Top Trumps, which will showcase some of the Northern city’s top destinations and attractions. Likewise, you can also submit your favorite locations you’d like to see in the game!
