Titled ‘Kissing’, the collection features bright colours, bold designs, and cute animals

Perfect for a coffee run or a night out in the town, each piece from ‘Kissing’, Issey Miyake’s new collection, has been designed and seen through to completion by artist Mimi Yokoo, making this her fourth collaboration with the designer brand. Yokoo’s previous collection with Issey, ‘meow’, iconically featured the expression of a cat about to meow.

Mimi is never afraid to play with colours and patterns, which results in garments that are vibrant, playful, and unique. Holding just a tote bag of her design will be as if walking around with a piece of art in your hands.

The ‘Kissing’ collection includes two of Mimi’s artworks, one depicting a family of giraffes surrounded by flowers and another  showing a lion cub playing with its food. These two images can be found on stretch pleats—the very garment that Issey Miyake is known for—as well as tote bags, socks, and other accessories. This is also the first time skirts and pants are included in a Mimi Yokoo collection, so you can mix and match your garments to the fullest.
