For our third Koktail Conversation, editor-in-chief Mika Apichatsakol joins the author of Thailand’s Movie Theatres: Relics, Ruins and the Romance of Escape, Philip Jablon, at the House on Sathorn to discuss the loss of Scala and culture, among other things. The special W Bangkok location was, in a way, a third participant of the podcast, reminding us that beautiful old structures can be preserved in a meaningful way that makes sense in modern society but strong vision and resources are needed to do so.
