Custom wallpaper and therapeutic nutrition would seem to have little in common. For Cholakarn “Kob” Visutipitakul, however, both involve designing around individual needs and solving practical problems. Before entering healthcare, Kob founded Bodhi Tree Decor, a bespoke design business that she still runs alongside Green & Organic today, from custom printed wallpaper to curtains, upholstery and printed surfaces. One of its commissions was the full building for One Bangkok.

During the COVID-19 period, she identified a different kind of design challenge: making health-focused food more practical for people managing chronic conditions. Green & Organic emerged from that gap. The company creates personalised meals for people with conditions including kidney disease, cancer, diabetes and hypertension, working with nutritionists and chefs trained in medical nutrition. Food plans take individual health information, including blood results and disease stages, into account. Low-sodium and low-sugar meals sit alongside snacks, seasonings and other products intended to make prescribed dietary changes easier to sustain in everyday life.

The model has also taken Green & Organic into collaborations with hospitals, research institutions and public organisations on chronic-disease prevention and nutrition care, including work around reduced sodium intake and dietary management.

Kob’s career may have shifted industries, but not its underlying logic. She has carried a designer’s instinct for identifying a need and shaping a response into healthcare, positioning food as a practical part of prevention and treatment rather than an afterthought.
