A strong believer of truth being stranger than fiction, Nutthachon “Teirra” Kamolvattanavith is passionate about telling impactful, bizarre, and relevant true stories. From investigating a world-renowned Tantric cult to following Thailand's marijuana decriminalisation, she reports on topics ranging from human rights and social justice to politics, culture and crime. She is especially interested in shedding light on the unseen, and giving voice to those who are often ignored. In 2019, Teirra’s video report on Thailand’s plastic pollution crisis for Coconuts TV was named the Best Single News Story in the country by the Asian Academy Creative Awards. Other recent works include her documentary “Rising Star of Thai Politics Hit with Sex Abuse Scandal” for Vice World News, "An Estate Agent for Spirits" for the BBC World Service's Heart and Soul Programme, "Making Thailand a Highland" for Vice Asia and the Thailand episodes of the series “HER: Women in Asia” for Deutsche Welle. After competing on Netflix’s The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition in 2021, she fulfilled a life-long goal of starting her own creative agency and production company, Third Kulture Productions, which provides end-to-end video and audio solutions for such clients as UNESCO, BBC Storyworks, and BMW Financial Services.
