Medical graduate turned social entrepreneur, Sakson’s experience volunteering with children in remote mountain villages taught him that environmental issues are a major factor affecting their health and way of life, and that all social issues are interrelated. He founded SATI non-profit organization for healthcare education to help at-risk youth and is part-owner of Broccoli Revolution, a plant-based restaurant, as well as Na Café at Bangkok 1899, a collaborative space and social enterprise. He aims to create a circular economy through his non-profit and business units by providing F&B training programmes for at-risk youth to be baristas or chefs, as well as non-formal education, dancing, Muay Thai, photography and English to help build skills and self-confidence as a form of empowerment. He’s proud that he was able to start Covid Relief Bangkok during the pandemic, providing over 1 million meals to those affected by Covid. He hopes to introduce a detained youths training programme, a SATI online platform for at-risk youths, and expand his Na Projects urban refugee and sustainability programmes. Yuval Harari is his go-to podcast.
