Vichada does not only lend her expertise and taste to three luxury resorts, she is also design consultant for several other exclusive projects. She studied interior architecture at Rhode Island School of Design, USA, and worked as an interior designer in the US before returning to Thailand where she was appointed design director for The Premier Group’s luxury resorts including Rayavadee (Krabi), Tamarind Village and Raya Heritage in Chiang Mai. She has curated several rooms at the Jim Thompson Home Furnishing showroom over the years, with 11 more rooms in the works this year under different concepts that showcase the vibrancy and variety of the silk fabrics. She is also working on the renovation and product design for Jim Thompson’s home furnishing department. For her design philosophy, Vichada has an eclectic taste; she enjoys mixing elements of nature, rich textures, vibrant colours, contemporary and vintage that create a sense of unpredictability. She is committed to the appreciation of cultural heritage, local craftsmanship, sustainability and living harmoniously with nature, all of which can be seen in her Raya Curated Collection of clothing, accessories and home décor items.
