Thailand’s Favourite Restaurants, in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), introduces season 2 of “Culinary Gems of Thailand”, with six new episodes hosted by Natalie Phanphensophon and Nigel Oakins that venture into the daily lives of some of Thailand’s most acclaimed chefs as they prepare food for their guests, from market to table.
In this episode Natalie and Nigel, who were hosted by the fabulous Slate hotel in Phuket, explore the world of sustainable and zero-waste cuisine at Phuket's Jampa Restaurant where Chef Rick shares his culinary passion that started at a very young age growing up in The Netherlands. The culinary team's daily ritual involves harvesting fresh herbs and vegetables from their own farm for the day's courses. Chef Rick's culinary philosophy shines through, focusing on cooking dishes that truly resonate with him. The result is evident in the restaurant's offerings - a celebration of locally sourced, sustainable zero-waste gastronomy based on sea and land that speaks volumes about the rewards of his approach.
