Kanawut Traipipattanapong, known as Gulf, is a Thai actor and model born on December 4, 1997, in Bangkok. He gained fame through his roles in "TharnType: The Series" and the film "Buaphan Fun Yap."
Gulf is the youngest child in his family, with one older sister. He attended Buranasuksa School for his primary education and Suankularb Wittayalai School for his secondary education, before graduating in November 2020 with a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Education and Technology from King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi.
Gulf's acting debut was in 2015 as "Young Tee" in "Mafia Luerd Mungkorn: Singha" on Channel 3. He then paused his acting career to focus on his studies, taking small modelling jobs and walking the runway for Wonder Anatomie's tenth anniversary.
In January 2019, Gulf starred as "Type" in "TharnType: The Series," which became popular nationally and internationally. A sequel, "TharnType 2: 7 Years of Love," premiered in November 2020. Gulf won several awards for his performance, including "Rising Star" and "Best Young Actor." In August 2020, he released his first single, "Missing Baby," with Wanarat Ratsameerat.
In 2021, Gulf appeared in music videos for VYRA and Polycat and starred in the short film "Kingkhom." He signed with Channel 3 as an actor and artist in March 2021. In 2022, he played "Gut" in "You Are My Makeup Artist" and starred as "Kham" in "Buaphan Fun Yap," a Thai box office hit.
Gulf is a notable figure in fashion, having appeared on many magazine covers. He has modeled for Burberry and attended Milan Fashion Week in February 2023. Gulf was previously the Friend of the House for Gucci Thailand and presented awards at the MTV Video Music Awards Japan in 2023. He is currently a Gucci Brand Ambassador and has 4.7 million Instagram followers
