Managing Director & Creative Director, VICKTEERUT
Industry : The Arts
Clean silhouettes, precise tailoring and an assured sense of restraint have become VICKTEERUT signatures. Behind that identity is Aurapraphan “Pang” Sudhinaraset, the brand’s managing director and creative director, whose approach has helped give contemporary Thai minimalism an audience well beyond home.
Pang’s path into fashion began with her studies before taking her to the UK, where she met Teerut Wongwatanasin and the pair began building VICKTEERUT together. Since its launch, the label has developed a visual language that favours clarity of line and careful construction over excess.
That aesthetic has also proved adaptable. Under Pang’s direction, VICKTEERUT has moved beyond ready-to-wear into collaborations with hotels, property developers and other organisations, translating its signature style into uniforms. Made-to-order bridalwear offers a more personal expression, with individual designs shaped around each wearer’s personality and style while retaining the brand’s identity.
Craftsmanship provides the constant. For Pang, the purpose of a garment extends beyond appearance to how confidently its wearer inhabits it. VICKTEERUT’s presentation at New York Fashion Week placed that philosophy on an international stage. For Pang, it was also evidence of how far Thai fashion can travel when its identity is clear: global reach need not mean diluting the qualities that made a local label distinctive in the first place.
