CEO & Co-founder, JIANCHA
Industry : Business
For Dr Polly Hason, a cup of tea can carry a distinctly Thai story. As CEO and co-founder of JIANCHA, she has built a business around fresh tea, premium Thai fruits and locally sourced ingredients, using contemporary product development and design to give familiar flavours a new setting.
Central to that approach is a belief that Thai ingredients and local knowledge can compete internationally without losing their cultural identity. Working closely with local suppliers, Polly looks beyond the drink itself to the value created through branding, storytelling and thoughtful development. The aim is to turn local resources into contemporary products while keeping sight of the people and places behind them.
That philosophy has given JIANCHA a clear identity in the fast-moving fruit tea market. Now with 61 branches across Thailand, the brand is also expanding internationally to Singapore, Australia, Spain and the United States, taking its interpretation of Thai flavour beyond its home market.
Polly’s ambitions extend further through Polly Atelier Tea and Jai Chan, a modern Thai-inspired wellness concept. Together, the ventures reflect an entrepreneurial outlook in which food and beverage become vehicles for communicating place, tradition and contemporary creativity. For Polly, international appeal and Thai roots are not competing ideas, but the ingredients of the same business proposition.
