In hospitality, the smallest details often reveal the clearest thinking. Anusorn Lohaphanthakit and Boonyadej Mitruppatham have chosen one of the least remarked upon – drinking water – and turned it into a study in design, efficiency and more considered consumption.

As co-founders of rynn Thailand, they have developed an on-site mineral water system that processes water where it is served. Still or sparkling, and available at different temperatures, it arrives in purpose-built reusable glass bottles. For restaurants, hotels, sports facilities, offices and convention venues, the model offers an alternative to conventional bottled water while reducing stockpiling, storage demands and associated overheads.

This is not simply a bottle-replacement exercise. By enabling venues to produce water as required, rynn folds a frequently overlooked service element into day-to-day operations with greater control and less waste. The reusable bottles also give water presentation a visual coherence that sits naturally within a well-designed hospitality setting. Recognition through design awards in Japan reflects the founders’ understanding that a practical system need not feel purely utilitarian.
