L’On Art Festival makes its debut in Bangkok with live painting, workshops, music, Thai and international artists, food and riverside views.
One of the most interesting ways to experience art is not just through the finished work, but through the person who made it. Seeing an artist paint live, hearing their story or taking part in the process can create a different connection with the work. L’On Art Festival builds on that idea, with live painting, workshops, artist-designed stamps, handmade pieces and music creating more ways for visitors to encounter artists beyond the exhibition itself.
For its first edition, the festival brings together Thai and international artists, independent makers, musicians and creative communities at Yodpiman River Walk from 10–13 September. The programme spans painting, crafts, handmade work, workshops, live performances and music, giving visitors different ways to experience art and discover new creative voices.
What to Expect?
The festival is divided into several zones, each with a different way to experience art.
Local Spotlight Artists: Discover artists from across Thailand, with creators from the North, Northeast, Central, East, West and South. Expect textiles, painting, natural materials, traditional art and contemporary work, with each artist bringing their own regional influences and stories.
The Art, Crafts, Handmade, Stamps and Workshops: Browse handmade pieces, artist merchandise and collectibles, collect stamps designed by independent artists and join workshops that let visitors take part in the creative process.
Highlight Artists: Meet both Thai and international artists, from established names to emerging creators. This section gives visitors a chance to explore different artistic styles and discover artists they may not have encountered before.
Music Zone: Three stages cover different styles of music throughout the festival. Visitors can move between stages, catch live performances and discover new musicians.
Food, Drinks & Thai Spirits: Find restaurants, drinks, Thai spirits and craft beer across the festival, giving visitors plenty of options to eat and take a break between art and music.
Come Find Your Next Favourite Artist
And if the September rain is a concern, there is no need to change plans. L’On takes place indoors, so visitors can spend the afternoon and evening at the festival regardless of the weather. The riverside setting adds another part to the experience, with views across the Chao Phraya towards Wat Prayurawongsawat Worawihan and Wat Kalayanamit Woramahawihan. L’On can work as both an art event and an easy evening out.
In a city where cultural events can often revolve around established names, L’On takes a different approach: come without knowing exactly what you will find, and leave having found something new.
L’On Art Festival takes place from 10-13 September 2026 at Yodpiman River Walk, from 3pm – 12am, with admission priced at 105 baht. Part of the ticket proceeds will support children through the Children’s Hospital Foundation, including premature babies, children with cancer and children with cerebral disabilities.
