GDH Circles announces a new lineup of Thai films, series and animated projects pushing local storytelling to global audiences.

Get ready to feel good? GDH has announced a bunch of new projects under GDH CIRCLES Feel Good, expanding its roster with nostalgic remakes alongside brand-new storylines, pushing Thai entertainment to the forefront for international audiences.

The first is a partnership with Sony Pictures International Productions: a Thai remake of the 2004 Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore hit 50 First Dates. Starring Nadech “Barry” Kugimiya – newly wed to Yaya Sperbund – and I-dle’s Nicha “Minnie” Yontararak, the trailer teases real chemistry between the two of them, though fans will have to watch to see if there is a new spin.

Next is Khun Yai Woranart, a new horror film starring Davika “Mai” Horne from genre master Banjong “Tong” Pisanthanakun, adapted from Thep Chumsai Na Ayutthaya’s 1991 novel Tayard Asoon (Heir of the Demon). Also in the works is Phuen Sao (working title), a romance following a gay man who unexpectedly develops feelings for a woman, showing GDH’s continued push for non-heterosexual love stories.

There is also 3 Daughters (working title), a comedy-drama from emerging director Pote Anusara Korsamphan. That is followed by The Untitled Snooker (working title), a gripping thriller about a Thai snooker player betting it all to reach the global stage. Giving strong Marty Supreme vibes, it features Putthipong “Billkin” Assaratanakul in the lead, marking his return to cinema post-graduation.

It is not just about movies, though. The project making the biggest waves online right now is Return of True Love Next Door (working title), featuring the original cast as the chaotic crew from Nuea Khuu Pratu That Pai reunites years later. On top of that, GDH is dropping its first-ever animated series: Max Kap Joi Joy Joy Market, co-produced with Ittipat-A and Big Brain Studio – the team behind Khan Kluay (2006), Khan Kluay 2 (2009) and Echo Planet (2012).

Finally, GDH is rounding out the lineup with 8 Minute History: Prawattisat Nang Thai – a four-episode podcast diving into the history of Thai film, streaming on YouTube.
