L’On Bangkok is launching the Bangkok Art Walk, a six week series that turns a stretch of Chakkraphatdi Phong Road into an art route. Running from late April to late June, the event covers the sidewalks between Lan Luang and Nakhon Sawan, an area that stands out for its older shophouses and long standing local businesses, giving this part of Bangkok a distinct character.
Open daily from 4–10pm on selected weekends, the programme is structured around three themes, each presented over two consecutive weekends. The first focuses on art, books and records (25–26 April, 2–3 May), timed with International Jazz Day at the end of April and continuing into early May. Mid May shifts towards art linked with cycling, running and fashion (16–17 May, 23–24 May). The final series in June brings together art, plants and pets (13–14 June, 20–21 June), with one weekend aligned with World Pet Memory Day.
Visitors walk along the pavement, encountering artists at work, small stalls and informal displays. Live painting sessions are a key part of the experience, with both Thai and international artists working on site and engaging directly with passers-by. The format keeps things accessible and grounded, closer to a neighbourhood walk than a formal exhibition. The event also supports a cause beyond the arts. Purchases made during the event contribute to the Wildlife First Aid Center in Nakhon Nayok, where rescued animals from illegal trade and other risks are cared for and, when possible, returned to the wild. It is a simple link, but an effective one, turning an afternoon walk into something with wider impact.
Overall, the Bangkok Art Walk offers an easy, unforced way to experience art in the city while supporting a practical cause. Come for the walk, browse at your own pace and you may leave knowing your visit has done a bit more than expected.
