Sitting atop INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit, LUZ Tapas offers Spanish cuisine that captures the sultry spirit of its homeland. The open-air dining area decorated with terracotta touches and bathed in warm lighting complements dishes as rich as the panoramic city views.

As night falls and the breeze stirs, the skyline provides an ideal backdrop for savouring a glass of champagne or two. Soft light radiates through the bar complemented by an infinity pool and an LED panel overhead that captivates diners with its shifting, beautiful patterns.
LUZ Bangkok Tapas Bar, led by Chef Juan Ignacio García, brings the spirit of Madrid to the heart of Sukhumvit. Chef García received extensive training at institutions including Le Cordon Bleu and gives each dish a distinctive Spanish touch. Even when using local Thai ingredients, the essence of Spain remains strong, telling a flavourful story of the country through every plate.

LUZ’s Barcelona-centred menu delights with smoky tender octopus skewers, fresh citrus-bright salmon and the crisp, rich Bikini Ibérico. Saffron-hued paellas, served straight from the pan, shine in the seafood paella paired with secreto Ibérico, silky eggplant purée and broccolini for extra texture and taste. The meal concludes with tarta de queso, a Basque-style cheesecake, rich with warm caramelised flavours.

Located on the 54th floor of Centara Grand at CentralWorld with sweeping city views, the restaurant offers two seating options: a cosy indoor area accompanied by live guitar music, or a semi-outdoor Tapas and Raw Bar space perfect for admiring the vast cityscape.

Hailing from Cádiz, Chef Borja Terry Borrego brings years of culinary experience across Europe and Asia. His journey includes time at Michelin-starred Hide in London and at David Muñoz’s StreetXO in Madrid, where he mastered the art of the knife and perfected his style. Diners are treated to the rich tapestry of Spanish flavours, brought to life by a chef who grew up and trained in that country.
The menu is made for sharing: generous paellas, seafood platters showcasing flavours from different regions, suckling pig and ribeye cuts. Tapas remain just as irresistible, with favourites like smoky gambas al ajillo, tender Iberico ham, padron peppers and fried calamari.
For dessert, go for crema catalana, a Catalan spin on the French crème brûlée, creamy beneath the crackling top. The wine list is excellent as well, with highlights from Catalan regions like Priorat and Montsant.
