CHRISHABANA SS26 turns NYFW into kinky liberation. Half a century into his existence, Chris Habana, the mastermind behind statement pieces that have adorned icons from Beyoncé to Madonna, Rihanna to Lady Gaga, claimed his runway moment with his debut show “POP”.

This inaugural collection excavated “the tension between control and liberation,” tying together cyberpunk rebellion, underground grit, and kink culture aesthetics.

The catwalk became a stage for bodies wrapped in liquid latex, mirror-bright vinyl, and crystalline plastics, each look punctuated by architectural jewellery that redefined the human silhouette.

Habana’s casting was deliberate insurgency: nightlife legends and transgender luminaries, far removed from cookie-cutter runway standards. 

Behind the scenes, creative powerhouses Anna Trevelyan and Kelly Cutrone helped manifest this vision into reality. Though physically drained, Habana called the experience transformative, a creative apex that radiated positivity despite its provocative edge.
