Surrounded by lush mountains and fresh breezy air, The Peri Hotel Khao Yai embraces its natural surroundings with an airy design, featuring tall windows that provide guests with views of the scenic landscape. The hotel is located near Khao Yai National Park – the third largest national park in Thailand and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. To add a playful touch to each room and interior space, the design incorporates greenery-toned décor and emphasises a warm, fuzzy, and cosy vibe throughout.
Chow Barn embraces the natural surroundings by showcasing the charm of local culture and nature. Guests are welcomed by barnhouse-style architecture featuring a wooden door, a garden and an open fire pit that hints at the traditional cooking methods behind each dish. Inside, lofty ceilings and earthy tone furnishing are complemented by plants and ingredients hanging on the walls, evoking the charm of a countryside home. This is seen especially in the kitchen area, the heart of this cosy house. The space is designed to feel grounded and inviting, like visiting a friend in the village, where meals are shared with care and conversations flow effortlessly. It’s a rustic setting, blended with modern comfort.
Under the concept of “Isan soul café,” the restaurant pays tribute to the cultural identity of northeastern Thailand. Their dishes combine organic vegetables from their own farm with locally sourced ingredients, supporting local farmers in the process.

A highlight of the menu is khao mok mun nue (steamed rice with beef tallow and grilled charcoal beef). This dish captures the spirit of Isan cuisine and village-style cooking – it is served in a clay pot to retain heat, in the traditional style of locals.
Another standout is yum khao pun pla ra horm (spicy rice noodle salad with fermented fish sauce), which offers an interactive dining experience. Guests mix their own salad using soft rice noodles, the restaurant’s aromatic house-fermented pla ra horm, local herbs and seasonal vegetables.
With a strong focus on homegrown produce, the restaurant also offers a vegetarian menu that celebrates nature and the simple beauty of eating well. Dishes include Isan mixed wild mushroom soup, Korat stir-fried noodles, and pad thai mung bean noodles with vegetables.
It’s a place where local charm meets rich flavours, telling the story of Northeast Thai culture – earthy, tangy and satisfying.
