Having run her family’s leather handbag company, Sy set up her own comfortable vegan footwear business. She wished to encourage people to make conscious purchasing choices in order to lessen the suffering of animals, demand ethical material sourcing, improve human rights in the manufacturing process, and protect our planet. Her application of the sufficiency economy principle in her business has allowed her to overcome difficulties posed by the pandemic, become recognised organically by foreign vegan press, and earn repeat customer satisfaction. A self-confessed workaholic, she relaxes by watching sci-fi, and following the work of Esther Perel which helps her explore and unravel her own relationship dynamics with family, friends, partner and peers. Travelling, vegan food and partying with close friends bring her joy. She is passionate about animal welfare, education, justice for victims of sexual abuse. Her wildest dream is to create innovative materials from abundant food and fruit supplies in Thailand, and to set up a foundation for an animal sanctuary.
