Calling all vegans, present and future: Root the Future is bringing their Plant-Based & Sustainability Market to One Nimman Chiang Mai on August 6th and 7th. Over 40 vendors will be offering all kinds of delicious food from pizzas to tacos, plus zero-waste products, eco-friendly fashion and more at the two-day event. All takeaway containers at the event will be plastic-free and compostable, but if you want to do even more good to the planet, feel free to bring your own containers, straws, cutlery, and bags.
The market will also host Chiang Mai’s largest clothes swap event, thanks to the help of Fashion Revolution. If you’re planning to join the event, bring along your previously loved outfits and trade them for other pre-loved pieces.

Besides having a good time with friends and family or with just yourself, the purpose of the event is to highlight how accessible it is to start a plant-based and sustainable lifestyle. Remember, you don’t have to go full-in at once but are allowed to take baby steps towards being kinder to the environment. With an aim to raise awareness on climate solutions, the event is sponsored by One Nimman, along with plant-powered heroes Superbeans SEA, US Pulses Thailand, Meatly, Let’s Plant Meat, and Alpro.
If you’re in Bangkok but would love to join the food event, Root the Future has teamed up with vegan luxury accommodation providers Away Chiang Mai Thapae Hotel to provide a 15% discount for visitors. Just apply the code RTF15 when booking your room.
Most importantly, One Nimman welcomes furry friends to enjoy the food, music, and festivities, so don’t forget to bring your companions along with you.
