Friday Future Lister: Yorch, Gluta Story and Voices for Strays

From a rescued street dog to one of Thailand’s most influential pet communities, Sorasart “Yorch” Wisetsin continues to change perceptions of stray animals.

In an age where content disappears with a swipe and attention shifts in seconds, the digital world is often criticised for being fleeting and superficial. Yet for some, the internet has become something far more meaningful: a place to preserve memories, document life’s unexpected turns and create connections that last far beyond the screen.

Sometimes what begins as a personal record evolves into something much larger. For Sorasart “Yorch” Wisetsin, a simple desire to capture moments with a rescued street dog grew into Gluta Story, a platform beloved by dog lovers for its heartfelt stories, advocacy for stray dogs and mission to create a better future for animals, one paw at a time.

The Dog Who Changed Everything

Originally from Kamphaeng Phet, Yorch moved to Pathum Thani to study mass communication technology at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi.

It was during those university years that an unexpected encounter would alter the course of his life. Following the devastating floods, a stray dog wandered into the dormitory where Yorch was living. Having always been fond of dogs, he formed a bond with the friendly newcomer, later named Gluta. What began as casual visits and daily meals gradually turned into something more permanent when the dog was no longer welcome around the dormitory grounds. Faced with the possibility of losing him, Yorch decided to bring Gluta home.

Not long after, Gluta was diagnosed with cancer. For six months, Yorch focused on his treatment and recovery. As the dog gradually regained his strength, the pair began spending more time outdoors together. Wanting to capture those moments, Yorch started taking photographs and sharing them on Facebook. What began as a personal collection of memories gradually attracted a growing audience, laying the foundation for what would later become Gluta Story, a platform that uses everyday moments with rescued dogs to challenge perceptions of stray animals and inspire greater empathy, care and understanding.

Stories After the Rain

As the years passed, one dog became two, two became four and eventually many more. As more rescued strays joined, their personalities reshaped the household itself, turning everyday life into a more playful, character-driven narrative that resonated with audiences.

Yorch describes this platform as “stories of stray dogs after the rain”, where humour, storytelling and advocacy come together through the lives of mixed-breed dogs often overlooked by society.

Beyond creating content, his interest lies in something deeper: the power of storytelling to change perception. Many of his ideas begin not with a punchline or a viral trend, but with a simple question: what is this animal experiencing and how can that experience be made better? Through that lens, even the smallest everyday moments can become stories that inspire empathy and understanding.

That perspective continues to shape much of Gluta Story’s work. Alongside humour and heartwarming moments, many of the platform’s stories draw attention to issues surrounding Thailand’s large stray animal population. At the heart of the problem, he believes, lies a question of perception. Mixed-breed dogs are often seen as having less value than pedigree breeds, despite sharing many of the same qualities.

He points to the contrast between mixed and pedigree breeds. While their appearances may sometimes be surprisingly similar, one is often admired and carefully cared for, while the other can be easily overlooked. The difference, he argues, is not the animal itself but the stories people attach to it. Certain breeds come with established narratives, histories and cultural value. Stray dogs rarely receive the same opportunity.

In many ways, Gluta Story seeks to close that gap. Through storytelling, humour and everyday moments, the platform gives stray dogs something they are often denied: visibility, individuality and a story worth remembering.

From Screens to Shared Spaces

Nearly a decade after sharing his first photographs of Gluta, the platform has become one of Thailand’s most recognisable pet communities. Today, Yorch shares his home with rescued dogs and cats and continues to build a future shaped by the animals that first inspired him to pick up a camera.

As Gluta Story grew, so did the community around it. It expanded beyond the screen, encouraging more people to see mixed-breed and stray dogs differently while earning recognition from the Thailand Influencer Awards, Thailand Zocial Awards and iCARE Awards for its engaging content and positive social impact.

He also launched Perd Godang, loosely translated as Open Warehouse, an annual gathering for pet lovers. More than an event, it operates as a physical extension of the Gluta Story ecosystem, bringing together animal lovers, creators and small businesses through shared narrative, creativity and care for animals.

The fourth edition, held in November 2025 under the theme “Welcome Home”, transformed an exhibition hall into a large-scale domestic space, inviting visitors and their pets into an environment designed around warmth, familiarity and belonging.

Creating Value Where Others Don’t

Although Gluta, the dog who first inspired the platform, passed away in February 2024 at the age of 18, his influence continues to shape everything that followed. His work continues to influence how people think about mixed-breed dogs, adoption and responsible pet ownership.

For Yorch, many of the challenges surrounding stray animals stem from systems as much as individual actions. He believes responsible pet ownership should begin long before bringing an animal home, with greater awareness of the long-term commitment involved. The issue, he argues, is not simply the number of stray animals, but the mindsets that allow them to be abandoned in the first place.

That belief continues to shape new ideas for future projects. One concept he hopes to see one day is a fair dedicated entirely to mixed-breed dogs, a space where owners can proudly celebrate the animals often overlooked in favour of pedigree breeds. In many ways, the idea reflects the broader mission behind Gluta Story: creating value where others fail to see it.

Through social media, community events and new creative projects, Yorch remains committed to producing content tailored to each platform while maintaining the quality and thoughtfulness that first earned the trust of his audience.

What he does may seem simple on the surface: stories about dogs, everyday moments and the lives of rescued animals. Yet those stories have connected with millions of people, reshaping perceptions one post at a time. Nearly a decade after Gluta first appeared on his feed, the impact extends far beyond a single dog. It lives on in every adoption, every changed perspective and every person who now sees value in an animal that might once have been overlooked.
