Gawdland has the world gagging, making history as the first Asian queen to snatch the crown on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs. the World.

This just in: Thai drag queen Gawdland (aka Tharathep Thaweephon) has emerged victorious on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs. the World Season 3, gracefully securing the crown while repping the Thai drag scene (and Thailand more broadly) on the international stage. She served, then delivered; by the end, many felt the crown was already hers.

The third season wrapped on Tuesday to loud cheers from Thai fans, who were absolutely gagged over Gawdland’s win. The 24-year-old performer hailing from Chiang Mai now makes history as the UK-based show’s first Asian champion – no longer just a queen among queens, but quite literally the Queen who reigns with verve and flamboyance.

The electrifying showdown came down to Gawdland and Kate Butch (aka Marcus Crabb), as they fiercely lip-synced to Kylie Minogue’s iconic What Do I Have To Do?

Following the win, Gawdland has officially been crowned Queen of the Moth#r$%king World, snatching a £50,000 prize (approximately 2,000,000B) and leaving Kate Butch from the UK, Fontana from Sweden, and Mariah Balenciaga from the US stunned in her wake.
