Koktail Thailand recently visited the Issarachon Foundation at Maen Sri Waterworks to
support its ongoing activities and community outreach efforts.
This visit followed MediaMagination’s donation of over THB 200,000, raised during the From
the Farms, Fields and Waters of Thailand charity dinner. The proceeds were contributed to
the Issarachon Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting and improving
the lives of the homeless in Thailand.
The gala charity dinner From the Farms, Fields and Waters of Thailand, held on 16
November at Gaysorn Urban Resort, concluded an evening that brought together culinary
creativity and generosity. Hosted exclusively for 100 VIP guests, the event gathered 12
distinguished chefs who each presented a signature course.
The evening also featured a charity auction in support of the Issarachon Foundation,
highlighting the importance of community support and collective efforts to assist those in
need. Through the charity auction, Koktail raised over THB 200,000, which was donated to
the Foundation.
The Issarachon Foundation works with people who live in public spaces, often referred to as
homeless individuals. They work alongside these individuals as friends and partners, seeking
to improve their quality of life and to advocate for a basic welfare system that is accessible
to all.
Their main initiative, the Sanam Luang Project, began as a drop-in centre and social lab in
one of Bangkok’s key gathering areas for people experiencing homelessness. From there,
they expanded into targeted programmes.
The Bags of Care project delivers essential supplies, ID assistance, job support and basic first
aid care across Bangkok. The Sharing a Meal, Sharing Hope project runs every Tuesday,
offering meals and employment opportunities. Through Work with Dignity, they support job
placement and skills development, while Health on the Street provides basic medical care.
As part of this initiative, Koktail Thailand visited the Issarachon Foundation in support of its
weekly programme, Sharing a Meal, Sharing Hope. The project operates as a drop-in point
every Tuesday, providing meals and creating employment opportunities for homeless
people by engaging them in preparing food for others.
Through this collaboration with the Issarachon Foundation, Koktail Thailand and its
publisher MediaMagination continue to support organisations that assist vulnerable
communities and contribute to positive change.
