Mariah Carey Shines in Custom SIRIVANNAVARI Couture at Bangkok Concert

Mariah Carey dazzled in a custom SIRIVANNAVARI Couture gown by HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya at her Bangkok concert, featuring Thai silk, intricate “Dok Rak” embroidery, and jewellery.

Legendary diva Mariah Carey delivered a spectacular surprise during her highly anticipated concert in Bangkok on Saturday night, closing the show in a stunning SIRIVANNAVARI Couture gown created exclusively for her.

The couture gown was designed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya of the SIRIVANNAVARI brand, in collaboration with Carey herself. Inspired by an archival finale look from the Spring/Summer 2025 collection, the dress was reimagined in Thai silk at the singer’s request, as a tribute to Thai craftsmanship.

The gown featured a soft pink and violet tone, a colour palette favoured by Carey, and was made from luxurious “luk gaew” silk in magenta from the SUPPORT Foundation. The back of the dress was beautifully constructed with pleated silk forming a flower-like shape that moved gracefully under the stage lights.

The embroidery work, carried out by artisans from SIRIVANNAVARI Atelier and Academy, was inspired by the Thai flower “Dok Rak”, often used in traditional garlands. Thousands of crystals, sequins and glass beads were meticulously hand-embroidered over hundreds of hours, creating a three-dimensional shimmering effect. The gown was further personalised with the initials “MC”, a thoughtful gesture symbolising Thai warmth and contemporary hospitality.

Complementing the gown, Carey wore a unique high jewellery necklace from the SIRIVANNAVARI x Beauty Gems collaboration. The piece featured rare pink “Padparadscha” sapphires in teardrop cuts and diamonds in various shapes, valued at over 100 million baht. The exquisite ensemble perfectly captured Carey’s glamour and the artistry of Thai haute couture.
