Presented by Art Can Die under the patronage of the Embassy of Belgium, “The New Ark” exhibition is the first of its kind to be fully funded by cryptocurrency, which is fitting considering crypto’s borderless nature and the exhibit’s theme of universal unity. It is also the first international exhibition by Art Can Die. A total of 13 international artists have contributed pieces to “The New Ark”, all of which occupy a total of 650 square metres of space in River City Bangkok.

Artists Nana Buxani, Gabriella Hirst, and Hu Yun showcase their pieces in the “Nature of Work” exhibition, which explores the topics of labour, nature, memory, and history. Buxani’s work centres on the Romblon, Philippine miners, and the hardships they endure in the process of polishing gemstones. Meanwhile, Hirst embodies the treacherous expedition of Caspar David Friedrich, a Romance artist who creates portraits in the midst of storms. Finally, Yun reflects the tales of Chinese immigrants in the 19th century.
