Huddled on a hill in Chiang Rai overlooking the confluence of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar, the resort’s elephant camp along with the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation (GTAEF) was established in 2003, with the primary aim of helping street begging elephants and others that could not help themselves. Over 60 elephants have been rescued from the streets of Thailand by the foundation, of which more than 20 now live in the jungle environment of the resort along with their entire mahout (carer) families.

Guests can get to know elephants, and develop a deeper emotional connection with them by participating in unique elephant experiences which include the signature experience—Walking With Giants. Guests can also select two or more experiences from the Discovery Selection list along with three more activities from the list of inspirational activities.

Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort’s Instamazing Escapes special offer starts from 14,000 baht per room per night for up to two guests sharing accommodation for a minimum two consecutive nights. This special offer includes accommodation and daily breakfast, six activities or excursions from the Instamazing Escapes offerings, and early check-in and late checkout on the arrival and departure dates.  A surcharge of 6,500 baht covers a third adult sharing accommodation per night, and includes daily breakfast and the six activities or excursions.  A surcharge of 2,500 baht covers a child staying with their parents, and includes daily breakfast and one elephant experience.
