Parit “Itim” Wacharasindhu

CEO, StartDee

Industry : Advocacy

The former member of the Democratic Party is now indulging in his passion for education technology. With Thailand’s outside-the-school learning opportunities relying heavily on costly tutorial education, Parit is keen on effectively narrowing the educational gap. Driven to create impactful change for a more sustainable future, his StartDee online education application was created to act as a learning platform that would complement school classes. Hoping for it to become Thailand’s Netflix of education, the application boasts personalised content that combines valuable lessons with an element of fun. The Oxford graduate grew up in a family of doctors and inherited a sense of duty to help others. He sees his application as a way of using technology to democratise access to education. He has also authored Why So Democracy, a book intended to help people better understand the concepts of democracy and politics.
