With a passion for the environment and love for the natural world,
Florian is managing director and co-founder at Wildchain, a
gamifying conservation funding platform. Florian grew up in rural
Bavaria where he helped shepherd the endangered Tauernsheck
goat away from extinction. This conservation initiative inspired
him to focus towards environmental efforts like species extinction,
biodiversity loss and climate change. Wildchain is a non-profit
organisation with the mission to inspire and empower individuals
and organisations to protect endangered species and their
habitats. It uses a climate action tool that allows you to adopt
wildlife and to plant trees to cut your carbon footprint and support
real-world conservation efforts—all within a mobile game. In
addition to his love for animals, Florian appreciates innovation. He
initiated FabLab Bangkok at KX Knowledge Xchange, a 1000+
m2 innovation space focused on digital fabrication, community
engagement, and impact as well as initiatives such as clean-tech
hackathons, design thinking workshops, and the creation of an
online learning platform for corporations.
