Best known by his creative alias, Apolar, 29-year-old Arus Angchuan made headlines in 2020 as the illustrator chosen to design the artwork for the 20th anniversary commemorative edition of the Harry Potter books in Thailand. After months of submission, publishers both locally and in England selected Arus to design the
covers of all seven volumes, as well as the books’ chapter headers and souvenir items like postcards, bookmarks and a fold-out paper model of Hogwarts. A Chulalongkorn Architecture alum and former video game designer, Arus or Arch now illustrates fulltime as a freelance artist, specialising in book cover arts and character illustrations.
