The co-founder and CEO of social enterprise HiveSters, an award-winning company that offers unique and sustainable travel experiences in Thailand, Achiraya uses her marketing background to develop sustainable tourism. She does this by training locals in entrepreneurship, storytelling and customer service skills through HiveSters’ Impact Academy and Creative Culture programmes, which are designed to promote cultural preservation. She is proud to have been selected an Obama Foundation Leader for Asia-Pacific in 2019 and was thrilled to meet the former president and Michelle Obama, her role model. Achiraya works on the principle that success isn’t about how much money you make, it’s about the difference you make in people’s lives. She also hosts Local Thai Kitchen on YouTube, which celebrates the culinary skills of ‘everyday aunties and grannies’ who are preserving traditional delicacies.
